Freehold townhomes are stand-alone dwellings that are as close as you can get to a detached home lifestyle without actually being a detached home. As a freehold townhome owner, you own the interior unit as well as the exterior fully. They are not like condos were you owe condo fees, but they are often price-ier than typical condominium units. They are great investments as they appreciate in value faster than condos but you must factor in owner fees like repairs, upgrades, and property maintenance constantly.

A condo townhouse is similar but they are typically part of a condo corporation. They are run similar to how a condo corporation runs things in terms of condo feeds and budget/maintenance fees. Regular services are completed for you by management such as landscaping, seasonal yard work and exterior repairs.
